One of the most controversial times in the Call of Duty African scene where the finals of the DECA CUP brought to you by 10N8E in partnership with Carbon and Game Nation was moved from 3rd December to 5th December due to some infringements spotted after the semifinals game of Merciless Mercs and Zero Remorse. There were claims of MM cheating by sharing accounts of registered players and the DECA CUP moderators also backed up the claims and posted a screenshot allegedly taken from the Merciless Mercs clan group chat. This led to their disqualification from the tournament thereby giving the Zero Remorse team the spot in the finals against the tournament favourites, Cyclone Gaming. Also worthy of mentioning is that automatically, Elyte Gamers have been awarded the third place position.
So much drama went on around the tournament but now we are glad that decisions have been taken and we have received clarity on matters. Amidst the decision taken by the tournament organizers, some people in the community have been requesting a rematch of the semifinals for MM and Zero, but all that will fall on deaf ears.
The organisers have done their best in putting this tournament together, but one could say there is ample room for improvement with regards to the overall fashion of rules and fair play conducts. In the light of occured events, the tournament mods have added that Fing recordings will be used for the finals so as to have a free and fair play. Medicine after death, or better late than never?
The finals will be played on Sunday, 5th December 2021 by 21:30 (WAT) and will be streamed live on 10N8E PLAY GAMING at https://youtube.com/c/10N8EPLAYGAMING. Who do you think will take home the win and earn the bragging rights? Come support your favourite teams and cheer them on to victory!
