The Global Esports Games 2023 Begins Today!

The Global Esports Games, organized by the Global Esports Federation, kicks off today December 12th, 2023, and will run until December 16th, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Expect an electrifying showcase comprising intense competitions, enlightening discussions, and top-tier entertainment.

The event attracted 952 players from over 100 nations during the qualifiers. Now, the stage is set for the showdown, with 240 players forming 16 powerhouse teams hailing from diverse countries;  Nigeria, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Somalia, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Guatemala, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam, Moldova, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Brazil, ready to compete at the pinnacle of esports.

The competition will be a battleground for gaming excellence, featuring popular titles such as Dota 2, Street Fighter 6, PUBG Mobile, and the highly anticipated eFootball 2024.

 “The Riyadh 2023 Global Esports Games are going to be epic and we’re sure today’s announcement will take the pre-event buzz to a whole new level. With glory, bragging rights, and huge prizes at stake, elimination tournaments featuring the world’s best teams and talent always captivate audiences”.

“The stage is set for history to repeat itself in the Saudi capital and we can’t wait for the action to begin on Dec. 12. This event is sure to showcase to the world why esports is the fastest-growing and most entertaining sport on the planet. The Games are simply unmissable.”

Beyond the thrilling competitions, the event will feature the Global Esports Federation’s convention, offering a platform for giants in the industry to share their expertise across three captivating panel sessions. These discussions will delve into Esports Innovation and Technology, Esports and Active Inclusivity, and the profound Global Impact of Esports. Also, a fireside chat on navigating the future of Esports will ignite thought-provoking dialogues.

Running parallel to the competition and convention, the GEFestivals will feature entertainment, and youth culture, amplifying the event’s dynamic atmosphere.

The event is hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation. The  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also set to hold the International Esports Federation’s World Esports Championship in 2024.

Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman launched a national gaming and Esports strategy to create 39,000 jobs to boost the country’s GDP by $13.3 billion by 2030. This strategic move solidifies Saudi Arabia’s aspirations to emerge as a global powerhouse in the Esports industry.

The Global Esports Games 2023 (GEG2023) aims to unite people across different backgrounds, celebrating talents and innovations in the Esports industry.
