Eko Anime Festival 3.0: Celebrating Anime Culture in Lagos, Nigeria

The Eko Anime Festival, put together by Africacomicade and Otakumart is an annual celebration of anime culture held in Lagos, Nigeria which was introduced in 2022.

The Eko Anime Festival is a great opportunity for anime fans to meet up, cosplay, and enjoy their favorite shows and characters.  The event has always been a big success, with attendees enjoying cosplay contests, anime music, video games, and food and this edition will be no different.

Registration for the event will end on the 25th of March and the event will take place on the 13th of April, 2024 in Lagos Island from 10am till dawn.

Get ready to connect with other Anime lovers like yourself while having fun and winning amazing prizes. The event will feature an art village, a magic show, a gift village where you can participate in various arcade games and win gift items, a movie village where you get to explore your favorite anime, a private screening experience will also be created for those interested, if you have a crush or want to spend some quality time with a sweetheart, then you shouldn’t miss this event as a lovers village will also be featured, where you and your lover can melt into the romantic ambiance and make the most of your private time together.

There will also be a panel session titled “Black Women in Anime” hosted by Zia. The two invited guests that will be pouring out their knowledge and thoughts on this are CHEYENNE EWULU, an actress, writer, comedian, and host of the Anime Club at Prime Video, and CHIOMA UMEALA, an actress who played the role of  Nojiko (in One Piece Action and acted as Tara in the popular Woman King Movie.

Other side attractions include an overnight Hentai Party, eating Contest, Cosplay Runway, AMV Contest, Gaming Tournaments, Vídeo, VR & AR Games, Movie Screening, Crowning of the King/Queen of EAF, and Magic Shows.
